The Caribou Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) held its annual spring meeting Saturday morning, May 28. About 50 people attended at the Lutsen Town Hall.

Various committee reports were presented including a water quality report covering the past five years. County Commissioner Ginny Storlie updated everyone on Cook County issues.

The last presentation was a series of videos of Bob Dunn reminiscing about the changes he has seen in the 80 years he has been coming to Caribou Lake. He first traveled here as a young boy in the early 1930s. Bob had the audience laughing and gasping as he told stories of the many “characters” who visited and lived along the shores of Caribou Lake in those early years. Things were quite different. He gave interesting details of the first homes, resorts and roads around Caribou Lake—a lake much loved by many generations. The meeting closed with an open forum for discussion of issues brought forth by association members.
