Historical Reflections

Robert Loney of Superior, Wisconsin shared this photo from Fisherman’s Picnic 1960. Robert explains that this elaborate entry was his grandfather Jim Cartier’s float. The young women are Pamela Linnell (left) and Sharon Smith. We received a call from one of the cute little girls in the Historical Reflections photo that was published on July 31. The young woman we believed to be a Miss North Shore was actually dance instructor Laura Grant. Thanks to our anonymous dancer for setting us straight.
