This Cook County News- Herald Fisherman’s Picnic photo is of the 1981 Miss North Shore, Stacey Lindskog. Stacey was the first Miss North Shore to have a male escort, her cousin, Joe Griffin. Joe’s mom, Donna Wilson, said that when Joe agreed to serve as her escort, “he had no idea what he was getting into!” Miss North Shore 2nd runner-up was Terri Genedak and 1st runner-up was Becky Sjoberg. Stacey, who is still known in the community for her piano playing performed The Hungarian by Edward McDowell as her talent in the North Shore program. The little boy waving is believed to be Eric Froberg.
