CAPTURING THE HIGH FALLS
This photo was taken by Julia Matthews in about 1924. It shows painter Dewey Albinson at work on a painting of the High Falls of the Pigeon River in Grand Portage. On the left are two boys, Fritz and Manny Oberg, future uncles of Captain Roy Oberg. Walter Matthews provided this photo to the News Herald in June 1990.
