Historical Reflections

Thanks to Mildred Thoreson of Grand Marais for sharing another fun Fisherman’s Picnic memory. This Fisherman’s Picnic parade float features the students in dance classes with Laura Grant. Also on the float, which was sponsored by Cobblestone Auto Service and Edwin E. Thoreson Construction, Inc., was a former Miss North Shore. Do you recognize any of these young ladies? Give us a call and let us know. Don’t miss this year’s Fisherman’s Picnic parade on Sunday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m.

Correction: The Sawtooth Elementary School kindergarten classes pictured last week were not the students who will be celebrating their 20th class reunion this year. Sorry about that, Class of 1991. And thanks to the four callers who pointed out the mistake!
