“Rooftops” which George Morrison painted in 1952 is in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Olson of Maple Hill. A retrospective exhibit “Standing In the Northern Lights” opened at the Minnesota Museum of Art in Saint Paul during May and June. The show includes works spanning 44 years of Morrison’s artistic career.
Morrison said, “Indians always had a reverence for the land that was very religious. The spirits were in the earth. Where in Christianity, God is in heaven.”
