This photo from the Cook County Historical Society gives a glimpse of prom as it was 50 years ago. This picture of prom, circa 1960, has just one unknown band member. The orchestra is Tom Jackson, an unknown trumpet player, Jack Blomberg, Harold Ikola, Robert Brock, and Doris Richards on piano.
