Historical Reflections

Roger Hagberg shared these vintage postcards, found in the belongings of his parents, Carl and Elizabeth Hagberg. There are several old cards from sometime in the late 1940s. This postcard of “Hanson’s Place” in Lutsen is the current site of Clearview General Store. The Cook County News-Herald heard from Sue Popham of Grand Marais about last week’s Historical Reflections photo of a gathering of Grand Marais women. The unidentified woman in the front row was Emma Leng, Sue’s great-grandmother. Sue said she has very fond memories of “Gran Leng.”
