Ade Toftey hasn’t pedaled a bicycle since 1919, but here he is at the age of 81 in the saddle again. Ade is taking part in Cardiac Phase Two at the North Shore Hospital, a rehabilitation program for victims of heart attacks or those suffering from heart ailments. Though Ade is pedaling like mad in this Feb. 20, 1986 photo, he never got anywhere— he’s riding a stationary bike!
