Historical Reflections

An autographed tablecloth, started by the Priscilla Circle of the Bethlehem Lutheran Ladies in 1951, was completed in March 1974 as part of the celebration of the church’s 75th anniversary. Shown completing the project, from left, are Mrs. Harold Phillips, Mrs. Lester Rasmussen, Mrs. Roger Scott, Mrs. Ralph Jackson, Mrs. Harry Johnson, Mrs. Olaf Moen, Mrs. David Lind, Mrs. Ade Toftey and Mrs. Iver Bentley. The tablecloth is comprised of 36 large linen squares embroidered with the signatures of all pastors and their families who have served the Grand Marais church. Plans are to use the cloth for spring and anniversary functions.
