It was a festive time at Grand Marais High School in February 1967 as the basketball team prepared for the tournament at the Duluth Arena, and the hometown fans readied with queens and cheerleaders, pep and points, crowds and cheers, bands and baskets, and everything else that went into the great spectacle.
