It’s a good thing the area had plenty of snow during the winter of 1967, as snowmobiles proved to have a special appeal for these foreign students and teacher, in whose countries snow is practically unknown. This photo was taken Feb. 2 at the annual AFS day at Cook County High School, which hosted the event for AFS students living in Duluth and the surrounding area. From left are students Anabel Parodi, local AFS student from Uruguay; Samran Juntarthong of Thailand; Nesar Formoli of Afghanistan; and local instructor Satya Pal Duggal from India.
