Historical Reflections

Prizes and a drawing were part of the activities for the first Royal Neighbors of America community picnic held in September 1975. In this photo, Roberta Bockovich, general chairman of the picnic, shows some of the items that were to be given away. The picnic was held at the Grand Marais Tourist Park and included a luncheon, children’s races and a drawing for the Burlington picnic basket (adults), and an Elgin transistor radio (juveniles). Mrs. Albert Malner won the basket and Todd Miller was the lucky recipient of the radio.
