The Village of Grand Marais received an addition on St. Patrick’s Day 1966 – a new fire truck. The vehicle was purchased from Massie Motors, General Safety Company of North Branch. Fire Chief Blackwell is shown accepting the keys from a representative of Massie Motors. The volunteer department is made up of 30 members who responded to nine fires in the village the preceding year.
