Bo Draper, a Cook County High School student, poses with a kayak he is building in a class through Community Education in this April 22, 1996 photo. Registered boat Builder Mark Hansen was the instructor at the classes which were held at the old Coast Guard building. In all, 12 handmade traditional Inuit kayaks were built and launched in the Grand Marais harbor in early summer.
