Historical Reflections

The Class of 1974 has always been an interesting group. For the class’s 30th reunion in 2004 (above), they attempted to collect 1,974 pounds of food for the Cook County Food Shelf. They didn’t reach the goal, but they made a significant contribution to the food shelf while having a lot of fun collecting it. For their 40th class reunion coming up this Fisherman’s Picnic, the Class of ’74 is raising funds to support the Arrowhead Animal Rescue, which is in need of a new building to house stray animals. The goal is to collect $1,974. Donations will be taken before, during and after Fisherman’s Picnic. Checks may be sent to: AAR, PO Box 1274, Grand Marais MN 55604. But also watch for the Class of ’74 in the Fisherman’s Picnic parade— they’ll be using smelt and landing nets to accept donations!
