Although this float was in the Fisherman’s Picnic Parade in 1965, it had a definite spring theme. The girls were participants in the Laura Grant summer dance program and the float was called “Bears and Bunnies.” The “older” dancers were panda bears (L-R) Diane Malner, Jennifer Vervoort, Ginny Hanson (front), Mary Johnson. The bunnies, in random order were Jaymee Jackson, Tami Malner, Karen Jurek (standing), Cindy Malner (in basket), Linda Jurek, Patty Eckel (in front of basket), Lee Hansen, Debbie Toftey lying down.
