There were plenty of elves about during the Grand Marais Elementary School Christmas choral program at the school Dec. 15, 1970. Some of the children taking part were, from left, Susan Tousley, Leona Wilson, Michelle Thompson and Michelle Oullette. Not in the picture were Susan Bargabus, Michelle Hanson, Jan Hess, Randi Johnson, Kathleen Koss and Lee Ann McElevey. In all, 375 children took part in the program, which was directed by Irene Thompson.
