Billy Blackwell of Grand Portage shared this photo of a parade that was held at Rendezvous Days sometime in the 1960s. Blackwell said the float was a remembrance of the former townsite of Mineral Center and the people who lived there. On the “float” is Henry “Pigskin” Peterson who was one of the last residents of the town.
