This photo is one of the Milford J. Humphrey collection and is filed at the Cook County Historical Society as “Grand Portage Powwow, circa 1930.” However, the picture has a photographer’s note on the front saying “Pow-Wow Grand Marais, MN.” Wherever the photo was taken it is an interesting look at the regalia of powwow over 80 years ago.
