This past week, on Monday, July 19, MnDOT contractors working on Highway 61 in Grand Marais shifted their work zone locations.

Work began on the north side of Highway 61. The single lane of traffic on Highway 61 in this area (between 8th Avenue West and 3rd Avenue West) will shift from the north side of the highway to the south or lake side of the highway.

Some work has been completed between 3rd Avenue West and Broadway.
