The University of Minnesota – Duluth held its undergraduate commencement ceremony at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Participating in the commencement exercise was Alexander Sands Hegg, who graduated with honors, receiving a bachelor of music degree. Alex’s focus was in jazz studies.
He is the son of Chris and Anne Hegg of Grand Marais and Michele Whaley and Allen Heine of Grand Marais. He is a 2006 Cook County High School graduate. He plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley to pursue a master’s degree.
Immediately after graduation, Alex and his girlfriend, Louise Buckley, went skydiving!
