University of Northwestern student Brenna Hay is working as the casting assistant and with gaffers on a short film called, “My First Funeral.”

Ann Sorenson, a UNW professor of communication, is leading the project and directing the film.

The film tells the short story of Pastor Paul, fresh out of seminary, who had diligently prepared for his first funeral. He soon realizes that no amount of preparation can ready him for this funeral.

Northwestern is a nondenominational Christian university in St. Paul, Minn. With a biblical worldview integrated into all programs, UNW provides a unique educational experience for students who want to combine faith and education.
