Destination, Blueberry Hill Trail, Chik-Wauk Museum, July 27, 2022.
The Happy Hikers will hike the 2-mile round trip Blueberry Hill Trail at Chik-Wauk Museum. This trail affords spectacular views of Saganaga and Seagull Lakes, as well as prime blueberry picking in July and August. Following the hike, we will enjoy our lunch on the museum grounds. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.
Difficulty level: Moderate.
Approximate distance: 2 miles
Meet at the YMCA parking lot near the tennis courts at 9:00 am. We’ll carpool up to the end of the Gunflint Trail to Chik-Wauk Museum. Suggested donation for drivers: $3.
What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, sturdy hiking shoes/boots, hiking poles, water, and a sack lunch.
