Happy Hikers to trek along Kimball Creek



The Happy Hikers will hike along Kimball Creek There are some steep elevations on this hike. You’ll cross some creeks and go through a towering cedar forest. The bridge on Kimball Creek is one of the most picturesque settings on the trail. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, on a leash.

Difficulty level: Moderate-difficult because of elevations.

Approximate distance: 3 miles

Meet at the YMCA parking lot near the tennis courts at 9:00 am. We’ll carpool to the trailhead. Suggested donation for drivers: $3.

Directions to the trailhead: Take Highway 61 east of Grand Marais. Turn on the first Co. Rd. 14, small parking lot on left.

If you live east of Grand Marais and would like to meet us at the trailhead, be there around 9:10 a.m. Let me know if you’re going to meet us there so we know to wait for you.

What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, sturdy hiking shoes/boots, hiking poles, water, and a sack lunch.
