County Commissioner Sue Hakes will explain the inner workings of county government at Cook County Higher Education’s April Business Networking
Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25 in the commissioner’s room at the courthouse. Cost is $15.
Hakes spoke at a similar luncheon about the workings of city government when she served as mayor of Grand Marais. It provoked such interest that she thought a repeat might be a good idea, with the focus shifting to county government, which, of all government levels, has the broadest and most direct impact on life in the county.
Join Hakes for what is certain to be a lively discussion, plus lunch catered by Cascade Lodge. To register for the luncheon, e-mail highered@northshorecampus.org or call 218-387-3411. The Hakes luncheon will run until 1 p.m.
