Guided hike on Superior Hiking Trail in Hovland




The Superior Hiking Trail Association is hosting a 4.9-mile hike in the Hovland area on Saturday, July 16. The hike will be from Judge Magney State Park to Camp 20 Road (County Road 70).

The trail follows the Brule River for two miles and features the dramatic Devil’s Kettle Falls. Winding through nice forests, the trail climbs to a rocky knob with a view of Lake Superior then descends into the Flute Reed River Valley.

Meet at the Camp 20 Road trailhead for carpooling to starting point. To get to the Camp 20 Road trailhead from Highway 61: At milepost 124.4, turn north on North Road and go 2.75 miles. Turn north (left on Camp 20 Road) and follow the road three miles to trailhead pull-off on left side of road.
