I always knew that Cook County was a very caring and thoughtful community. I would like to add Steve Lashinski of Steve’s Sports to the “guardian angel” category.
Walking out of IGA with several bags of groceries, I noticed that my car lights were on. Oh oh! Sure enough, my battery didn’t have enough juice to start the car. My sick husband and our dog were waiting for me.
It was 5:45 p.m. and starting to rain. I walked to Steve’s Sports and Steve Lashinski very graciously carried the heavy battery charger and walked with me to my car. The car started immediately and he waved me off without accepting any payment. We are all very grateful to Steve and thank him very much.
