Greed and bad manners in Cook County

There are employers in Cook County who are not only good people, but good employers. Then there are employers that should not be employers; that do not have the skills.

When greed and paranoia drive them, they have bad manners toward their employees and they feel this is acceptable.

When you work for someone, doing nothing but making them money—living with no raises for well over a year; doing the work of two; crossing your fingers that you’ll get paid on payday; having to apply to federal agencies to collect overtime pay owed for almost a year—you wonder why. When Christmastime comes, and you don’t even get an empty Christmas card with the words “thank you” for your hard work for the year, you wonder why?

And when you call them on their bad manners, you get the boot without notice. Themindset of these people needs to stop. Their idea of compassion is “Be happy—be quiet, you have a job for now.” Thisneeds to end. These employers are selfcentered and self-blinded.

Thevery best thing they could do for their current and future employees is sign up and take a class….
