Great weekend of support for North Shore Rollers

The North Shore Rollers held the Minnesota State Championships this past weekend during Fisherman’s Picnic as some of you may have stopped by to watch these kids show off their unique talent!

We would like to take the time to thank the following people and businesses for all their support. Cook County YMCA made the transition from Grand Marais Municipal Pool to the Y very accommodating. We appreciate the sponsorship and the great competitor T-shirts.

A huge thank you to Dave and Amanda Plummer. They both have been a huge asset to the rollers and especially helping with putting up and taking down the tank!

Jessica Berg-Collman did a great job as the emcee for the day. She did a great job even without her total voice.

We also appreciate the following parents from far away that put in a lot of work for this fun tournament, Shayna and Rich Magnone; Todd and Denise Diethart; and Joanie Davenport. Even though you were on vacation you helped out tremendously in timing, helping put up the tank, and with the brackets.

Last, but not least, thanks to all the rollers. Tony and I have had a great time helping and coaching you in this unique sport and as we all learn as we go it’s been fun to see how you all have grown.
