Great Expectations artwork at Art Colony





In November students at Great Expectations School in Grand Marais shared their self-portrait projects with friends and family. The greatly-enjoyed presentation is now an exhibit at the Grand Marais Art Colony until January 5, 2016. These introspective puppets are the work of the Otters classroom.

In November students at Great Expectations School in Grand Marais shared their self-portrait projects with friends and family. The greatly-enjoyed presentation is now an exhibit at the Grand Marais Art Colony until January 5, 2016. These introspective puppets are the work of the Otters classroom.

All grades of students at Great Expectations School in Grand Marais have been working on self-portrait art in the last few months. Their introspective pieces were presented to friends and family at an open house at the school on November 19. Now until January 5, 2016, the wider community has the opportunity to see the student art on display at the Grand Marais Art Colony.

Included in the exhibit will be student animations, puppets, paintings, and pastels.

The Art Colony is open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and admission is free.
