Grants available for local nonprofits

Does your nonprofit organization need financial help? If so, consider a grant through the Cook County Community Fund.

This year the Community Fund is able to offer limited grants to qualified nonprofit organizations in Cook County. These grants are made possible by individual donors who have established either permanent endowment funds and/or given unrestricted gifts to ensure that the Community Fund can respond to a variety of community needs wherever possible.

The Cook County Community Fund is an affiliate fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. Completed applications must be submitted for the Cook County Community Fund no later than May 1, 2010. Winners of the grants will be announced in June.

A preliminary inquiry is necessary to ensure that an organization’s request fits the guidelines of the CCCF process. Revised shorter grant application forms are available through dsacommunityfoundation.com. For more information, please contact the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation at
