Grantmakers Online now available free at Grand Marais Library

The Grand Marais Public Library has purchased a subscription to Minnesota Grantmakers Online (MGO), giving library patrons free access to information on grantmakers in Minnesota. A service of the Minnesota Council on Foundations, MGO is the most comprehensive database of Minnesota foundations, corporate grantmakers and grants available.

MGO includes up-todate information on more than 1,400 Minnesota foundations and corporate grantmakers, 150,000 past grants and 20,000 Minnesota nonprofits. Staff of nonprofit organizations use MGO to optimize their research results, identify funders who care about their cause and view past grant activity in their sector.

Nonprofits save time and money by using MGO to target prime funding prospects, research past grants and funding to peers, and write stronger grant proposals by understanding what grantmakers want. For every funder, MGO goes into detail on current grant guidelines and includes deadlines, application processes, grant amounts, sample grants, contact information and more.

Get a hands-on feel for MGO with a free online tour at mgomcf.org. Then visit the Grand Marais Public Library and use MGO to find funders ready to support your cause. Call the library at (218) 387-1140 for more information.
