Child Care Resource & Referral will be conducting a grant round for licensed day care providers, child care centers, and school age programs.
There are four types of grants available: Learning Environment: The learning environment refers to the arrangement of the classroom or home setting that sets the stage for teaching and learning, including purchase of curricula, child-focused materials, toys, equipment, activity centers, assessment tools, multicultural or multilingual resources or consultation services regarding culturally responsive care giving practices.
Health and Safety: Health and Safety grants are available for the purchase of items that increase the health benefits of children in care or the safety of the home child care setting or classroom. This includes the purchase alarms and detectors, indoor and outdoor equipment, disaster kits, or a consultation with a child care health consultant.
Professional Development: Professional development consists of training and education that leads to increased knowledge and a high quality child care practice. A grant can be used to pay for approved training & online learning classes, textbooks, and curricula.
Emergency: This grant is available to assist existing providers and programs in the event of an emergency that disrupts the immediate ability to provide care for the children enrolled, or an occurrence that jeopardizes the health and safety of the children in care.
