Grand Marais residents graduate from Perpich Arts High School





 

 

Two seniors from Grand Marais have graduated from Perpich Arts High School, the two-year statewide program in Golden Valley. The graduates are Christopher Hoglund, literary arts concentration, and Sophie Holz, visual arts concentration.

Christopher will be attending Hamline University majoring in pre-law with a $38,000 scholarship. He is the son of Stephan Hoglund and Megan Heikes of Grand Marais.

Sophie is the daughter of Dominique and Stephan Holz of Grand Marais. She is taking a year off before furthering her education.

Perpich is a state agency that serves all school districts in Minnesota. Created in 1985 by the state legislature, the agency seeks to advance K-12 education throughout Minnesota by teaching in and through the arts. Perpich staff and faculty experts provide outreach, professional development, research, curriculum and standards development, a statewide arts library and the public arts high school.
