Readers of all ages are invited to come explore the night this summer as the Grand Marais Public Library presents its summer reading program, Dream Big, READ! The program runs eight weeks, from June 6 through July 31. Kids can win prizes, enjoy story times and attend two top-notch family entertainment events.

The goal of the program is to have fun and keep kids reading and is sponsored by the Arrowhead Library System, the Grand Marais Public Library and Library Friends of Cook County.

This year, middle and high schoolage students (grades 6 – 12) are invited to participate in the Own the Night summer library program where they can enjoy the great new books, reach their reading goals and enter a drawing for some awesome prizes. The 10-week program runs from June 10 through Aug. 19 and is sponsored by the Grand Marais State Bank, the Arrowhead Library System, Grand Marais Public Library and Library Friends of Cook County.

Other summer events planned at the library are a June 19 performance by Kenny Ahern, clown extraordinaire, at 1 p.m. at an as-yet undetermined venue. On July 27, Star Michaelina will present her goofy girl hilarious magic show at 1 p.m.
