Grand Marais Playhouse presents Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night





 

 

The Grand Marais Playhouse is proud to present its 2017 Community High School Youth production of Twelfth Night or What You Will by William Shakespeare.

Opening Night was Thursday, November 9 with performances November 9-12 and 16-19. Dates for this imaginative play are Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students. There are 12 performances at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts.

Special events include the Friday, November 10, Food Shelf Friday BOGO with $10 donation to the food shelf or $10 in food.

After the play, there will be a discussion with the director and the cast and crew.

On Sunday, November 12 a student residency mini-performance will be held before the show. This is a donation day performance. Pay what you can, but please attend.

PLOT SUMMARY:

Viola has been shipwrecked in a violent storm off the coast of Illyria; in the process, she has lost her twin brother, Sebastian. She disguises herself as a boy and assumes the name Cesario for protection. Thus disguised, Viola becomes a page in the service of Orsino, the duke.
