The Grand Marais Music Collaborative (GMMC) is proud to announce the addition of Lisa Curran Whitney to its board.

Curran is the current board chair for She Rock She Rock, a female forward music organization in the Twin Cities that has been very successful in empowering women and girls as well as bringing all people together through the art of music. Lisa brings to the GMMC her experience with that organization as well as a lifetime of enthusiasm and participation in music, not only as a fan but also as a bassist in her band.

Lisa is also a big fan of and lifelong visitor to Grand Marais. She is excited to work with the other board members and with the community.

“We are excited about the depth of experience and diversity of perspective that Lisa brings to GMMC,” said Grand Marais Music Collaborative Chair Todd Miller. “We do think she will help shine a light into some areas where we could benefit. Lisa is fiercely passionate about music and helping others be successful in the music industry. We are very grateful to have her on board.”
