Grand Marais Municipal Campground’s newest bathhouse

The Grand Marais Municipal Campground’s newest bathhouse just received five solar panels on Wednesday, November 17. Mark Morgan from Bear Paw Construction, Eau Claire, WI helped install the panels, which were made by Mike Helfman’s Bubbling Springs Solar Company, Menominee, WI. The panels were purchased with funds from two grants obtained by the Cook County Local Energy Project (CCLEP). Hot water savings of 40 to 50 percent are expected when the park opens, said Doug Grant, a CCLEP member. Working on the installation were (L-R) Doug Grant, Mark Morgan, Mike Helfman and Dave Tersteeg, recreation park manager.
