I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those of you in our community that took the time to write in my entire name in this past election. I am honored to be able to serve you all for another two years and hope that I can keep or earn your appreciation and respect. I am committed to continue building the city’s relationships with all of the jurisdictions we have to work with on a daily basis as well as making sure that Grand Marais and our area get its due attention on the state and federal levels through continuing my service on state policy boards and continuing to be in communication with our senators and representatives. I will continue to work on gathering information from our community through our community visioning process so that the city council can update and adjust the city ordinances to better represent what is wanted by our residents.
On that note: I am just one person, and I can’t know what is in all of your minds about the future of Grand Marais. I really would like to know, though. Please take a few minutes to send me an email or drop off a message at City Hall with your thoughts on this. I will do my best to reply to each and every one and will do my best to address your concern or idea. I want to know your thoughts. Letting me know what is on your mind is a very important part of this process.
Again, thank you for this opportunity, and I look forward to working for the health of our community for another two years!
