While four Minnesota towns were listed among the top 175 “Cheap U.S. family vacation survey”, only one of those, Grand Marais, cracked the top 100 landing 64th.
The poll was conducted by Family Destination Guide with more than 3,000 families surveyed asking which affordable destinations those families would most likely visit in 2023.
The top three selections were Long Beach, New York, Coney Island, New York and Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
Minnesota towns included Lanesboro at 132, Nisswa at 154 and New Ulm at 164.
Baraboo, Wisconsin, landed 38th on the list with the Wisconsin Dells coming in at 143.
