Since its beginning in 1978, the Grand Marais Lioness Club has met once a month at noon. On September 24, the Lioness Club held its first evening meeting.
Lioness Michelle Korst said the Lioness Club will continue to meet every second Tuesday at noon. However, she said, “We added a bimonthly evening meeting on the fourth Wednesday because our membership is changing. Many of our younger members have jobs and other obligations during the day which make it impossible for them to attend a noon meeting.”
“We’d like to invite anyone who has not joined the Lioness Club because they couldn’t come to a noon meeting,” said Korst.
