Grand Marais Garden Club looking to grow members

The Grand Marais Garden Club meets on the second Monday of each month from May through December at St. John’s Catholic Church lower level at 10AM. This month we will be planning our annual July Flower show, and then for those interested, carpooling to Maxwell’s Woodland Nursery in Finland where you will have the opportunity to shop from a wide selection of plants.

Our Flower Show will take place on Saturday July 22nd at the Community Center and the theme this year is “Garden Treasures”. If you have an interest in gardening and would like to know more about getting involved with the show and exhibiting a “Garden Treasure” of your own, join us at the June meeting. If you like plants and need more (and really, who doesn’t?) then join us at the June meeting and carpool with us to Maxwell’s Woodland Nursery!

The Grand Marais Garden Club meets Monthly from May to November on the second Monday of the month. We have speakers who help us expand our knowledge of gardening and we go on field trips to see gardens and nurseries in and around Grand Marais. We also volunteer in the community by putting lovely summer flowers in the downtown planters, as well as maintaining the amazing rose garden.

But maybe most important, being a member of the Garden Club is a wonderful way to meet others in the area who share your passion for any and all types of gardening! Join us as a visitor, leave as a friend! All are welcome!
