Grand Marais Dog Park needs volunteers

Now that the Grand Marais Dog Park has been up and running for a few weeks, it’s time to coordinate weekly volunteer patrols shifts to ensure the park is clean and safe! Go Dog North Shore is looking to develop a rotation of volunteers to walk through the park every Monday and Friday to identify maintenance needs and clean up any unaccounted pet waste. Volunteers are needed to do the following:

– Pick up unaccounted pet waste and dispose of in garbage can

– Verify waste bag station is stocked

– Check garbage can capacity

– Walk fence perimeter to ensure it’s secure and no gaps are exposed

– Pick up any trash within the park or parking lot area

– Report patrol findings to our online reporting tool or via email

– Be a Go Dog North Shore ambassador, answer visitor’s questions when at the park

Volunteers can sign up for shifts by visiting our online signup system at: www.signupgenius.com/go/70A084FAEA- 62DA13-grand or email godognorthshore@gmail.com.
