The work of over 60 high-quality regional artists and artisans will be featured at the 10th annual “Goods from the Woods” show on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the IRA Civic Center in Grand Rapids.
The focus of the 2012 show is on handcrafted works of wood such as fine and rustic furniture, classic and artistic turned bowls and vases, unique gift items, traditional chip carvings, heirloom Ojibwe faceless dolls, Christmas-themed carved figures, sweetgrass baskets, cedar jiggle sticks, and many other works from wood and forest materials. Added into the lively mix are forest-themed pottery, original-design jewelry, beaver blankets, clothing, and other gift and home décor items.
The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free.
