I don’t know a lot about PTSD, but if Tim Scannell has it and he’s not able to make good judgments, he should not be in office regardless of having inappropriate relations with a 17-year-old.
His wife states that he did not exercise good judgment because of his emotional issues. She goes on to say that this is obviously not something he would ever have engaged in before the shooting.
If he can’t make good judgments about having relations with a minor, how can we, as a community, trust that he can make good judgments in his job?
