Preparations for the first production, Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island,

Director Sue Hennessy will give a presentation about this production including casting requirements, schedule, special workshops (including stage combat and scenic painting), musical elements including a “pirate band” which will play sea shanties during scene changes, and a question-and-answer period.
Auditions are open to grades five through adult. The play will include a inimum of 12 characters, but more may be cast. A full production team of carpenters, painters, and costumers is needed to help this production reach its potential.
A rehearsal schedule is available at www.grandmaraisplayhouse.com. Perusal scripts are available at the high school library and the Grand Marais Public Library.
Auditions will be December 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the ACA with limited rehearsal requirements until mid-February. Early auditions are required for costuming and stage combat training.
A grant was received from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council to assist with the production.
