Jana Larson’s fourth and fifth graders recently held a glasses collection to help the Grand Marais Lions share the gift of sight. Members of the glasses committee with Lion Walt Mianowski are (L-R) Abby Prom, Claire Sherburne, Claire LaVigne, (front) Genevieve Neuwirth, and Connor Franks.
Ms. Larson’s Sawtooth Elementary School class has completed their glasses collection for the Lions Club.
Thanks to all who donated glasses for a great cause. The glasses will be sent to Duluth soon and then shipped all around the world.
Just think, some little boy or girl will receive the gift of sight! A big thank you to Ms. Gellner, Mr. McHugh, Mrs. Tavernier, and Sally for helping us collect. A really big thank you goes out to Walt Mianowski and the Grand Marais Lions club for supporting the program.
