Give to the Max on November 17

Since its inception in 2009, GiveMn has raised more than $125 million for Minnesota nonprofits and schools. More than 9,500 organizations fundraise for their cause and more than 250,000 individuals have made donations through the program.

Kaitlyn Bohlin, Development Manager for North House Folk School, is in charge of Giving to the Max in Cook County.

Last year North House raised about $7,400, from patrons giving to the school through the online program.

“I know there are about half a dozen organizations in the county that participate in this program,” said Bohlin.

Give to the Max is a 24-hour period where Minnesotans can donate to their favorite charity or nonprofit through a central website.

While the “Give to the Max Day” is November 17, donations can be sent in now. To help Cook County nonprofits, go to the GiveMN website and where it says, “Search for a Cause,” type in the organization you would like to donate to. Your financial gift will then be forwarded to the group on Give to the Max Day. Last year Minnesota schools and nonprofits raised more than $18 million on Give to the Max Day.
