What if?

The Vikings hosted the Southridge Panthers on September 8 and lost in three straight games. However, after falling 25-11 in the first game the Vikings came back and led 6-2 in the second game. The match see-sawed back and forth with long, contested points. South Ridge took a late lead and held on, winning 25-21. During that second game the Vikings set the ball to outside hitter Katie Peck who had several big spikes for kills. South Ridge was strong at the net but several soft taps over outreached Viking hands found the “doughnut” hole in the Vikings defense and those points hurt the most. Still, the Vikings showed they can play with South Ridge. And if the Vikings had won that second game the outcome could have been different. What if we had won that game?

Deflated and probably tired, the Vikings fell 25-8 in the last game.

For the night Kalina Dimitrova 18 digs, Katie Peck 8 kills, 16 digs, and Makenzie Fairbanks 10 set assists.

South Ridge was led by Adella Olesiak’s 24 digs, 3 ace serves, Svea Snicker’s 7 kills, 11 digs, Rylee Young’s 24 set assists and Kaitaia Klemetson’s 8 kills, 3 ace blocks.
